Soiree d'Amour is no more
The Oldenburg mare, a daughter of San Amour I, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly.
Soiree d'Amour was bred by Maren Bergen and grew up with us. She was 17 years old.
On Instagram, Carina Scholz bids farewell to Soiree d'Amour:
"Forever in Our Hearts - Soiree d'Amour Even a few days later, I’m still struggling to find the right words to describe this sudden and completely unexpected loss. Since 2022, you’d been an integral part of our daily lives, and we’d grown incredibly fond of you. You were an extraordinary beauty with a personality just as extraordinary, and you captivated everyone from the very first moment! You knew exactly what you wanted and had both two-legged and four-legged friends around you completely under your spell. You were independent and decided for yourself who you would show affection to. And I believe I was one of those people. I was always particularly impressed by how gently you interacted with our children. As assertive as you were otherwise, you were just as careful with them. I never had to worry about their little fingers or feet. Our time together in the saddle was also something special. You taught me so much, and at the same time, you loved those hours-long rides as a change of pace. I could always rely on you 1000%. You were so much more than what people saw of you at the competition arena. You deserved so many more years. So many shared moments and so much time that still lay ahead of you.
